Dike

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 19, 2026

These terms apply when you use dike.it.com, the Dike API, the Dike MCP server, and the Dike integrations for tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Dify (together, the "Service"). In these terms, "Dike", "we", and "us" mean the operators of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

What the Service is

Dike provides search, grounded question answering, citation resolution, and citation-graph traversal over primary legal sources from the jurisdictions listed on our coverage page. The Service is designed to help you find and check legal sources. It is a research tool, not a law firm.

Not legal advice

Everything the Service returns is provided for information only. It is not legal advice, and using the Service does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Our index does not cover every document. Some documents may be missing, out of date, or still being processed, and a source's status (for example, in force or repealed) may be wrong or unknown. Answers are checked against the sources we retrieved, but they can still be incomplete or mistaken. Always confirm anything that matters against the official source, and consult a qualified lawyer before you rely on it.

Accounts and API keys

  • You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
  • Keep your API keys and account credentials secret. You are responsible for activity that happens under them.
  • If you think a key has been exposed, revoke it in your dashboard and tell us at [email protected].
  • Give us accurate contact information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to break the law or to help someone else do so;
  • bypass or try to bypass rate limits, authentication, or other security measures;
  • probe, scan, or test the Service's security without our written permission;
  • resell access to the Service, or bulk-copy the index through automated means beyond what your plan allows, without our written agreement;
  • reverse engineer the Service, except where the law lets you;
  • send content you have no right to send, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the Service itself.

Fees and billing

Plans, limits, and prices are described on our pricing page. Usage on paid plans is billed per successful request, as described there. Requests that fail are not billed. Prices and plan limits can change; if a change affects what you pay, we will give notice before it takes effect. Taxes are your responsibility where they apply. Enterprise terms, where agreed in writing, take priority over these terms for the matters they cover.

Rate limits and availability

We apply rate limits to protect the Service. We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, except where an Enterprise agreement says otherwise. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, with notice where we reasonably can.

Your queries and content

You keep any rights you have in the queries and other content you send to the Service. You give us permission to process that content to provide the Service to you. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy and, for security practices, on our security page. Do not send content that is privileged or confidential unless you are comfortable with it being processed as described there.

Our sources and our work

The primary legal texts in the index come from official publications and remain subject to whatever rights apply to them. The way we organise, index, enrich, and serve them, and the Service's software, design, and branding, belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and its outputs for your own purposes under these terms. If you quote an output, cite the underlying source it points to.

Third-party platforms

You can reach Dike through third-party platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Dify. When you do, that platform's own terms and privacy practices apply to your use of it. We only receive the requests those platforms send to the Dike API on your behalf, and we are not responsible for how a platform operates.

No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Dike will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service or from relying on its outputs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or to USD 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and revoke your API keys from your dashboard. To have your account closed, email [email protected]. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts the Service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue after your access ends, such as those on warranties and liability, will continue.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice by email or in the dashboard. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
